The DIg, is a very well done sci-fi, point and click game. Steven Spielberg actually had a part in the story! It was originally going to be a movie but was deemed to ambitious and expensive. Basically, a few astronauts get stranded on an alien world and have to discover how to get home; searching through ancient ruins in the midst of alien technology.
The alien environments are just beautiful; a mix between the artistic works of Moebius and Panzer Dragoon. They rarely make games anymore with this level of artistic detail! The soundtrack is very atmospheric and impressive for its time. Also, all of the characters have full voice acting as well. And this was 1995!
