i once had the idea to make a movie that was secretly a retelling of sonic the hedgehog. it was about a college trackstar that wore a blue track suit. then there was a college boxer with dreadlocks. and they end up working together to solve a jewel heist of 7 emeralds. the adventure would take them to all kinds of locations (a chemical plant, a snowy mountain, a casino, a cave, etc). the soundtrack was going to be made up of covers of the corresponding levels.
i wanted takashi miike to direct it…
