I was browsing Eri Ito’s official website, and it turns out she has several albums. They’re called “Say” and “Lonely With You”. Both are available on Amazon.jp:
Very tempting, despite the high price. I wish there was a way to sample the music though.
I also found this topic which contains a link to a YouTube playlist featuring a number of Eri Ito’s songs. It includes her Japanese versions of various Disney songs, such as Beauty and the Beast and Can You Feel the Love Tonight. There’s also some from Phantom of the Opera.
I always liked ?Sona?, and ?Anu Orta Veniya? just added to my appreciation of Eri?s voice and style, albeit intentionally coloured to match the otherworldly atmosphere of the games.
So, eventually, a year or so ago, I ended up downloading the TC albums and almost/all of her other soundtrack work with Yuki Kailura. But I still haven?t gotten around to checking any of it out properly, lately with the excuse that I relegated it to a memory stick (or just oblivion) somewhere.
This is as good a place as any to restart! I know not to expect anything too similar to her songs for PD, but she has a great voice, and I need every excuse I can get to vary my musical listening. Are her albums J-pop, do you think? If so, I can scratch that off the list, too.
If you’re looking to try new music, you might like to get the first Humble Music Bundle: humblebundle.com
You can pay what you want, and add more later if you feel it’s worth more. So you could just pay a dollar to try the music. I’m enjoying the Christopher Tin album.
Not sure, I haven’t been able to find out much about them. I’ll do some more digging.
