Choice of your composer for a new PD game?

Plus she works a lot with Maaya Sakamoto which is, even more for a panzer game, a good thing :D
Yep, exactly that would be my choice. Though Itoh-san’s voice is also very good.

“with graphics by wong chuu… and sountrack by nobuo!”

"With special thanks to:

Y2J
Mr Moto
Shinobi
MM2"

Don’t you just love MS credits?

Hitoshi Sakimoto would be a great choice. The Vagrant Story OST was spec-friggin-tacular.

On topic of Richard Jacques, is there anywhere to download the boss theme in headhunter that plays on the raining rooftop when you fight that guy that eventually joins your side? I don’t remember the finer parts of Headhunter too well, though it was a quite nice game.

On topic, Alexander Brandon is one of my favourite music composers, though his style seems a bit more sci-fi than panzer requires.

I did.I listened to it actually.I dind’t find it that great.Twas good but nothing PD good (Pd pre-Orta good anyways :p)

It’s a bit too AMERICAN MOVIE for me.Altho it had some bits that reminded me of PD1’s OST  on a 0 to 20 scale it get’s a 13.
Then listen to his music from Sonic 3-D Blast (Saturn).

Just go to www.phantasy-star-universe.com.

I favor the Rusty Ruin songs. Great stuff.

At Richards site (www.richardjacques.co.uk) he has a the ending credits song to Shinobi X which is also good.

Unfortunately, there was no soundtrack released for Headhunter, so it’s REALLY HARD to find tracks of music from the game.

What’s up with you guys anyway? All of you KNOW that Panzer Dragoon Saga had the best soundtrack of all time - and the only ones who are truly qualified to compose for the next Panzer Dragoon RPG are Saori Kobayashi and Mariko Nanba.

Granted, Panzer Dragoon Ein and Panzer Dragoon Zwei had excellent soundtracks and composers - but they pale in comparison to the sheer brilliance of Panzer Dragoon Saga. There’s no contest.

Panzer Dragoon 1 OST rocks your arse!!!

I disagree, simply for the fact that it’s nothing more than orchestrated music - it doesn’t have it’s own unique sound like Panzer Dragoon Saga does. The music in Panzer Dragoon Saga sounds ‘organic’ - which is perfect, considering the bioengineered environment created by the Ancients.

‘Theme of the Red Ruins’ is a PERFECT example of what all Panzer Dragoon games should sound like.

I’m 100% with Gehn on this one. The first PD soundtrack kicks insurmountable amounts of ass. Its always been my favorite of the three.

I dind’t say I prefer the PD1 over the PDS (altho I think it’s a lot more regular - the quality of most of PD1’s song is always high).

The PDS one is a bit flawed sometimes cause it repeats the Azel Theme too mcuh sometimes.I still think it’s the best OST I’ve ever seen in a videogame (along ith PD1’s,Soul Reaver 2’s and Soul Reaver 1’s).

The PD1 reflects much fo the PD essence.Heck it’s one of it’s creators.

starts lisetning to The Imperial District Goes Up In Flames yet agehn

Synth POWA!!!

Well, I do.

I dind’t say I dind’t either

Anyways I beg of anyone who can download this : PLEASE DO!

www.lokmusic.com

Go to SR2’s music and download Ariel’s Lament.

Say if you like it please. That wa samde by Kurt Harland the guy I’d like to hear in the next PD game

lokmusic.com/mp3/sr2_theme_arielslament.zip

The woman’s voice is really just a series of quotes from a character called Ariel.

There are LOADS of good music in that site.If you can I advise you to donwload the complete Soul Reaver 1 and Soul Reaver 2 soundtracks! You won’t eb dissappointed!

I am a fan of the Soul Reaver and Legacy of Kain series…however, this music, or it’s style, would not fit in a Panzer Dragoon game at all. It’s like comparing apples and oranges…it wouldn’t work.

Wow, how do they get away with putting the entire OSTs up for download?

They’re free tracks which have been posted with permission by the composer. Read the FAQ.

Generally, all of Sega’s composers are at Wavemaster. Of course, they occasionally commission stuff (i.e.: Grand Royal Records in JSRF, all of Yuzo Koshiro’s work in Streets of Rage and Shenmue).

nothing more? Image the music from PDS played by an orchestra, especially atolm dragon (with taiko drums and a bamboo flute) or pure blood seed would so absolutely roxxor your boxxors down to your soxxors…
