I think he means that character development is so trivial to the series that you can basically watch any given episode and never feel a bit lost. Not that that is per s? a bad thing.
No it’s not a bad thing. D+D had the same premise of Samurai Jack and you didn’t have to watch previous episodes to catch up. my point is that D+D had several character development in it’s episodes so by the time it ended you knew what the characters were like and why they were what they were and so on. Even the bad guy. You don’t get much of that in Jack at all.
