Just thought this’d provoke some discussion. NiGHTS beat PDS 8-4… I was looking at that result and it’s not really one we can complain about, but at the same time I feel hard done by.
Also the SF3 vs PDS match… damn I’m glad I didn’t vote in that one. Any other matches catch your people’s eyes?
NiGHTS was rad but i thought burning rangers was better.
i’d have to say jet set radio (DC) is my favorite.[/quote]
XD
I was okay at it. I can’t get my links up into the hundreds like some other fans. But I can get A’s in many of the stages, and my highest link was around 47. And I still consider it to be platform game despite the fact it had no platforms. That’s what made it so cool. ^.~
You said you only played it once Gehn, I don’t think you can judge it like that. It’s one of the games like your loved Gun Valkyrie where the first times you might actually be playing it “wrong”… And even if not “wrong” certainly not as fun as when you’ve understood it all…
No offence, but I really doubt you were. You might’ve felt good at it, but NiGHTS is one of those games that takes ages to get good at. I wouldn’t even call getting straight A’s good, I’d call that decent. It’s when you rack up the monstrous scores that you can rack up.
i don’t think the gameplay of NiGHSTS was that hard to master, i just think the levels took practice to beat them masterfully. it was a fairly simple game by design.
i have gotten As on all the levels, 2.0x on all the bosses, and i think i have some pretty impressive scores otherwise.
NiGHTS was a great game, especially for score/time challenging. if anyone wants to, i’m up for a challenge in nights, burning rangers, GV, or PDO (but less on PDO since i’ve been playing the heck out of it for the past week).

Agehn I don’t remember exactly NIGHTS’ score chart but I do remember i was pretty good. Not a master tho.
Still i think no one can really compare GV to NIGHTS gameplay wise.
NIGHTS isn’t really based on technique.Sure you gotta “circle” with ya fingers a gazillion times but in that aspect i think GV is much more difficult.
I have still to be really good in GV.Problem with it is I have to jam that left analog stick all the time in order to “gilde”.Plus I dno’t think it was a good idea to put the jump in the left trigger.
