Anyone know what this is?

Well the short answer is that it’s a PD1 demo disc. It looks like an NTSC disc, but I haven’t seen it before; it popped up on ebay not too long ago, and while I’d usually have snagged it I just completely forgot to bid on it for various reasons. I was wondering if anyone here owns a copy, or could say what’s on it?

Also, could anyone confirm whether or not this demo is in fact this disc, which I do own (but which I picked up with no sleeve)?

That must be a fake mate.

For a start the PD title is using the wrong font, and PD was more a less a USA Launch game. So the demo would be pointless (no point in a preview)

the title uses the perfectly right font, but I still think this might be fakeon te other hand who should start to make a fake package to sell an extremely rare item? so I guess it could be very well be true.

No it doen’t.

The OO Intertwine/link on all versions of Panzer Dragoon even on the X-Box

This may surprise you, but the NTSC release of Panzer Dragoon Zwei has exactly that kind of logo on it - I genuinely did think that the North American Zwei box was a fake when I first saw it, as it even has an unofficial 3D render on the front instead of a real PD image - but this is what Sega of America actually produced back in 1996:

EDIT: This “Panzer Dragoon Playable Preview” disc appears on several US Saturn release lists, so it seems we can be sure it’s not a fake. It has a very similar product code number to my own PD1 demo (that I mentioned above), so I’m just having a look to see if any lists confirm that they’re one and the same…

Learn somthing new everyday.
Funny how Sega Europe used the same front as that in the Japanese versions

Ah, well now I’ve found an image of what my own PD1 demo’s sleeve would have looked like - still not quite sure if it’s the same demo though, as it’s not a cover shot:

Oh, it turns out that these demos aren’t the same - the “playable preview” disc looks like this:

I looked into this the other day, but foolishly searched the web for “panzer dragoon playable demo” rather than “panzer dragoon playable preview” - the information was really just sitting there, so yeah, sorry for this random thread. At least I can be sure it’s only an NTSC demo, so it’s very probably no different from the finished game (so I doubt I’ve missed anything interesting)…

I have the disc- it is just the NTSC Panzer 1 demo from way back (I believe it came with the first version of US saturn), nothing special.
