The armored

The Empire would not hesitate to tell his story if he made a rippling impact within its sphere of control.

You have to wonder how the Empire could find out about the other riders as well. Stories spread from person to person is the likeliest means. And Kyle would have certainly told the Sky Rider’s story, mysterious though it was.

There would have been survivers from battle, who had seen the riders up close. I think one or two of them are mentioned in the Imperial reports.

The same reports that up until that time thought the dragon rider was a drone due to their super-human combat skills?

I can imagine Abadd filling in the blanks about the Sky Rider when he was discovered by the Empire.

I’m not sure about the whole Sky Rider theory… The only thing that troubles me is why Lagi was so distressed when he died. That suggests to me that they had to have been close somehow. Otherwise, why would Lagi care?

Dragons were made to care for their riders…

And yet Lagi was different : he “liked” more than one person/drone unlike other dragons who would die if they lost their masters (example : Atolm ; azel explains this to Edge altho I don’t think she is aware of Lagis’ “diference”).

I imagine Lagi knew the Sky Rider long enough to grow attached to him. We don’t know at what point Lagi awoke after his hibernation cycle that began at the end of PD Zwei. There’s an 18 year gap between PD Zwei and Panzer Dragoon. My best guess is he was a drone who finally escaped the binary shackles of his programming who found the dragon near Uru, his place of creation.

Yeah Lagi seems indepedent enough not to need a rider for guidance or survival. A gun toting rider sure does come in handy, however.

what if the sky rider was a seeker…Nevermind

I always believed he was Skiad Ops Endow; however, the green energy he emits rules him out as human. The general consensus is he was a drone.

I won’t rule out other ideas.

Plus we know he finsihed his days as a Seeker and if he was the Sky Rider Gash would probably have told Edge that…

Now now, don’t pull me into this debate agehn, Gehn.

We don’t know what happened to Lundi - his fate remains a mystery. Gash may not have known the fate of his mentor in order to tell Edge. Gash doesn’t go into detail about Skiad Ops Endow. The only thing we do know is that he was researching drones at the Uru labs according to the drone report not found in the game per se.

Man I dont mean offense here but we know somethings! We know that a “man” that has green thingies coming out from his stomach when he dies ain’t a NORMAL man…

Not even a man…
I’m absolutely sure it is a drone. And if I recall Lundi IS/WAS a man

I agree Gehn. Even I think he was a drone now. However, we can still explore other ideas.

Exploring is indeed kewl…
Just look at my avatar :stuck_out_tongue:
