Yeah, it really isn’t. Although I should get one one day and try it out.
Now when you say you want to play it on order, does this mean story order or game order? Perhaps I may have missed that…
Either way, enjoy the games when they finally arrive.

Regarding the analogue controller, I’d recommend playing the first two games without it, as neither of them were designed with it in mind (they’re older than it) and from what I remember, the controls end up a bit buggy when used with it. (In Zwei your beserk attack randomly goes off when you press a non-bersek-attack button (the R button?), and in PD1 your view auto-centres when you let off the thumbpad, or something similar. Been a while since I’ve tried this.) But setting the 3D control pad to non-analogue mode and just using it as a regular controller works fine.

The order in which they were released. Ein, Zwei, Saga, Orta. And like I said, Ein and Zwei haven’t arrived yet. I could play Saga now, but I want to get the most out of the storyline!
And thanks for the advice, Lance! I’ll be sure to use the standard controller for the first two. O.o lol
I’d forgotten about that problem. Wasn’t their a fix, so that you could stiill use the analog stick without the dragon randomly going berserk?

Yes there is, set the Z button in the options to do nothing. (or it may have been the X or Y button, I know it’s one of them.)
Yeah I seem to remember it was the X button that’s crossed up with the triggers if you’re playing Zwei. Either that or it was X that I left active for berserk… regardless the game plays brilliantly with the Nights Pad, once you get the button config fixed.
The analogue support in the original game was only designed for the Mission Stick, so it treats the input as the absolute targeting position instead of converting it to angle/velocity directions. The main problem is that the analogue button has it’s ‘corners’ rounded off, so you can’t reach the corners of the screen playing with the Nights Pad. Not a big deal most of the time but it makes certain boss battles really painful.
After I picked up a used Mission Stick I tried it out with Panzer Dragoon and it’s great, although the game is almost too easy by comparison with using a normal pad, the targeting is basically instantaneous and quite accurate.
