Does Dark Savior actually contain a sixth parallel? (Dark Savior spoilers)

Let me say I loved the game. Really great design, I think about the “parallel scenario” all the time. When I first played it I didnt even know about it, I remember I was like “what happened, why was this game so short …”

“I remember that tower type place in the sky, with all of those moving platforms, was challenging as hell!”

but at the end the challenge was literally fighting the controls- “walk diagonal when you only have 4 directions” was ridiculous

I love this game too. Didn’t Sega Saturn mag once talk of the 6th Parallel?

In my opinion, Garian killed the boy in Jailor’s Island because the boy was possessed by Bilan, then Garian was imprisoned in carbonate. That would make him a tragic hero.

I considered the possibility that Garian was possessed by Bilan and was imprisoned, but Bilan would not allow that.

Dark Savior is definitely one of my favorite Saturn games. I still think Jack was sending Garian back in time, but maybe he was having endless nightmares.

I’ve gone through my old SEGA Magazines and even when previewing the Japanese version, they only talked of 5 Parallels

I have created an account here so I could post and revive this topic lol . Sometime ago as a big fan of this game I also had the curiosity about hidden parallels, and while learning all theories about it in some forums I thought about getting deeper into this. I have a friend of mine named hugopocked that has some godly assembly skills and asked him to do one thing for me: I need a cheat for this game to be able to walk through walls or just disable the collision of the game. And he was able to disable the collison but it maded the game very buggy but then he also created a code to make Garian faster when running and a triple jump code lol and this was better than the walk through walls because it allow the player to jump across anything… doors… npcs etc. The whole thing was tested on a Mednafen emulator. Then the first thing I did was to begin a new game and bypass the guard that make Garian drink the Jalapeno Juice and see what would happen. And the event with the boy happened as if Garian was drunk even though he didn’t drink, so no unfortunately there was no hidden event . Then I literally began to explore the game upside down, and noticed that the areas change according to the active parallel, certain doors take us to different places so my idea about “invading” other parallels event failed because of that, I never noticed that playing normally. And I couldnt find anything out of the ordinary. Then I needed to try one last thing to be sure, but this was my own idea. I beated the game on parallel 1, and saved a cleared file. Then I loaded the cleared file, did the parallel 2 events on the ship, and saved in the first area of the island. Then I made a copy of that saved file as backup, and create a new game again with no parallel beaten, and I did my best to get to the island with about the same time, HP and saved at the same spot. Then I got a hex editor and searched for different values on both save files and there was only one value in the whole file that was different, I think it was something around 80 on the parallel 1 cleared file and 00 in the non cleared. I tested some values there and everytime I loaded the game it appeared like star 1 and 2 cleared or 2 and 3, or 1 ,2 and 3 etc. And when I used the max value FF it gave me a full cleared save file of 5 parallels beaten, and for me this was enough proof that there is no 6th hidden parallel. I also did the same steps with the hex editor on the japanese version of the game, and the max I got was 5 stars as well.

I can’t see any talk of Parallel 6 tbh

I’ve gone through most of my old gaming mag’s and can’t see any reference to a 6th parallel
